Sulphur author Ron LeLeux and Monroe native John F. Jones have together compiled a wonderful collection of interviews and photographs into a book titled Louisiana Stories – Growing Up in the Bayou State.
LeLeux and Jones traveled across Louisiana collecting a series of entertaining stories about growing up in Louisiana. Together they interviewed and photographed 37 interesting people from around the state who shared their stories and our history.
The book includes stories from such diverse people as actress Faith Ford, former governors Edwin Edwards and John McKeithen, athletic greats Eddie Robinson, Ron Guidry and Tommy Casanova, chef John Folse, author Mary Alice Fontenot, U.S. Senators John Breaux and Mary Landrieu, restaurateurs Lea Johnson and Enola Prudhomme and artist Floyd Sonnier.
